Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., both of the Turnberry Isle Miami’s 18-hole championship golf courses – the Soffer and Miller Courses - have been re-interpreted by golf icon Raymond Floyd. The result showcases the best of Florida golf, with contoured fairways, clever doglegs, rolling greens, perfectly carved bunkers, strategically placed water features and a variety of elevation changes to challenge and enthrall resort guests of any handicap.
Lessons
For guests interested in honing all aspects of their game, Turnberry Isle’s resident golf pro Hiro Suzuki was the golf director for Robert Trent Jones, Sr. for 20 years and is a former PGA of America Teacher of the Year, while Gary Knapp has been voted “Teacher of the Year” by both the South Florida PGA and the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Southwest Section PGA.
Clinics
During clinics, which are offered daily at 9 a.m., novices and skilled-players learn everything from the fundamentals of golf to perfecting their swing and technique, putting distance control, driving the ball, plus practice through games and drills. Each clinic costs $45 per adult. Lessons are available upon request and proper attire is required.
