TENNIS TIP
Question: When I stop playing for more than a week, I find it difficult to find my rhythm and correct timing. Is there anything I can do to improve this?
Answer: This is very common and happens to tennis players of all skill levels after taking a break. It could take a couple days or even a couple weeks to get your timing and rhythm back. The key is to start slow and play longer points. Try hitting more balls and shots within the same point, and don’t rush your execution. More importantly, be patient. Build the point with several shots. Then once you feel comfortable, you can take more risks.

The tennis tradition is strong at Turnberry Isle Miami. Guests and members have the opportunity to receive tennis instruction from players ranking in the top 10 for doubles and singles, as well as nationally ranked juniors through the exclusive alliance with Cañas Tennis. The program is overseen by Guillermo Cañas, who is one of the most recognizable tennis figures in the world and has won seven ATP singles championships including wins over Roger Federer, Tommy Haas and Andy Roddick since 1995.

Four immaculately maintained clay HydroCourts stand ready for the exclusive use of Resort Guests and Turnberry Isle Miami Club Members. Choose from a variety of lessons, clinics, social and competitive tennis programs and events designed for all ages and skill levels.
In our state-of-the-art Pro Shop, you'll find a large selection of tennis and fitness fashions and equipment for men, women and children, from brands such as Nike and Fila as well as our very own Turnberry Isle brand. Racquet customization, including 24-hour stringing, is also available.

Polish your skills under the watchful eye of one of our professionals. 9:00 a.m. daily.
Additional Rates:
Guest Court Fees : $20 USD per person per day.
Racquet Rental: $10 USD per racquet. *Prices are subject to tax.
